Omnibyte Warranty Policy

Omnibyte warrants that any Omnibyte hardware product that you purchase is free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use during the specified warranty period. The Service arm of Omnibyte India Pvt Ltd (OMNISERVICE) warrants your product against any tech defect related to its components/software/user interface when purchased directly from Omnibyte or its authorized reseller. No warranties or conditions, whether express or implied, will apply after the limited warranty period has expired except under certain conditions if the warranty has been extended. The warranty period and type of warranty service that apply to your product are outlined below. This policy ensures you a trouble-free and relaxed support system with clarity of operation.


WARRANTY IS APPLICABLE ONLY WHEN:

  • Product is for personal use.
  • Product is under warranty period.
  • Product purchase invoice/bill (tax paid) is available and shown during repair.
  • Warranty and serial number stickers are intact and not tampered.
  • Product is not opened/attempted to repair except Omniserve authorized centres and its authorized engineer(s).
  • Product PCBA & their components are not damaged, burnt, rusted, water-logged, tampered, etc (or any non-repairable condition) etc.

WARRANTY CEASES IN CASES WHEN:

  • Any Remarking on the product such as mentioning the date of sale etc.
  • Trying to modify the actual product.
  • Trying to tamper Omnibyte logo.
  • Product is used for commercial purposes*.
  • Resale of product after use etc.
  • Products with missing or altered service tags or serial numbers.
  • Product is not used as per instructions mentioned or improper use of products determined by Omniserve or failure to perform preventive maintenance.
  • Product is not purchased from Omnibyte or its Authorised Sales channel both online and offline.
  • Product is placed at a site that is not recommended for operation.
  • Servicing not authorized by DAWG.
  • Some accessory assembled in a system which is not sold by Omnibyte authorized channel.
  • Defects generated due to conditions/situation beyond control like lightning, surge/abnormal voltage, act of God etc.
  • External causes such as accident, abuse, misuse etc.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Software, including without limitation, the operating system and software added to the Omnibyte-branded hardware products through our factory-integration system, third-party software or the reloading of software.
  • Products for which Omnibyte has not received payment.
  • Damage caused by viruses, malware, worm, or similar malicious threats not introduced by Omnibyte.

HOW TO AVAIL WARRANTY SERVICE

If the product does not function as warranted during the warranty period, you may obtain warranty service by contacting Omnibyte or an Omnibyte-approved Service Provider. A list of Omniserve and Authorized Service Providers and their contact details are available at: https://omnibyte.com/pages/service-centres. Warranty service may not be available in all locations and may differ from location to location, so it is recommended to check the website for the nearest service centre.


CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES FOR WARRANTY SERVICE

Before warranty service is provided, you must take the following steps:

  • Follow the service request procedures specified by the Service Provider.
  • Keep the original bills that come up with the product.
  • Backup or secure all programs and data contained in the product.
  • Provide the Service Provider with all system keys or passwords.
  • Provide the Service Provider with sufficient, free, and safe access to your facilities to perform service.
  • Remove or modify any confidential, proprietary, or personal data to prevent unauthorized access, as Omnibyte is not responsible for any data loss or disclosure.

TYPES OF WARRANTY SERVICE:

  1. DEAD ON ARRIVAL (DOA)
    The duration of DOA is 15 days from the date of purchase.
    As the name suggests, the product should be in a dead condition, meaning the product does not turn on at the time of operation.
    The user should submit such a product to the nearby Omniserve with its intact packing/accessories and in brand new condition.
    Upon confirmation of the defect from the service centre, the user shall be eligible for a brand new replacement.

  2. UNDER WARRANTY (UW)
    The duration between DOA and Out Of Warranty is known as the under warranty duration.
    The user can get their product serviced from a nearby service centre for any tech defect.
    Under Warranty products are serviced in the following manner:

    A. Carry-In / In-House / Return To Bench Services
    The user is required to visit the nearby Omniserve along with the defective product.

    B. Onsite / Doorstep Services
    As per municipal limits and product category criteria, Omniserve engineers visit the customer’s given address or seller place to repair the product.
    On-site warranty service is applicable only in selective cities.

  3. OUT OF WARRANTY (OOW)
    When the warranty expires, the user can rectify the defect of the product as per applicable charges.
    Repair must be carried out at OMNISERVICE only.
    Omnibyte will provide support services to out-of-warranty products, provided the said products and spare parts are available in its inventory. If spare parts are no longer manufactured, Omnibyte may offer an upgraded or refurbished product at the customer’s expense.

  • CPU COOLING FAN: 1 Year
  • HEADPHONES: 1 Year
  • KEYBOARD & MOUSE: 1 Year
  • LED PROJECTORS: 1 Year
  • MONITORS (A SERIES): 3 Years (1st year - onsite*; 2nd and 3rd year - in-house)
  • MONITORS (V, E & G SERIES): 1 Year (in-house only)
  • MOTHERBOARDS: 1 Year to 3 Years based on model
  • POWER SUPPLY: 2 Years to 3 Years
  • UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply): 2 Years

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Omnibyte is only liable for loss or damage to the product while it is in the possession of the service provider or in transit (if handled by the service provider). Neither Omnibyte nor its service providers are responsible for any loss or disclosure of data, including confidential or proprietary information.
Omnibyte is not responsible for damage arising from failure to follow instructions relating to the product’s usage.
Liability of Omnibyte in any dispute will be only to the extent of the total amount you paid for the order or product at issue.

By requesting warranty service, you authorize Omnibyte to collect, store, and process your personal details, such as name, contact information, and address, to facilitate the service. GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • The warranty terms are liable to change from time to time without notice.
  • Warranty is non-transferable and shall not be considered in case of any resale.
  • Warranty is applicable only to products purchased from authorized sales channels.
  • Onsite warranty is applicable only in selective pin codes.
  • Warranties might differ across models of the same product category.
